Prospect is the first Decentralized Fantasy Sports (DeFS) application that is putting the power back into the hands of the community. Prospect enables users to buy, trade and stake Athlete NFTs that earn $PROS based on the Athlete’s real-life in-game performance. This is accomplished via Prospect’s proprietary “Proof-of-Performance” or PoP protocol that translates real-time sports data into rewards.
Proof-of-Performance (PoP) translates athlete performance (on the court, on the field, on the ice, in the ring, etc.) into energy that earns $PROS which are distributed to users who’ve staked the respective Athlete NFTs.
Prospect’s “Play-to-Earn” or “P2E” gaming platform is built on the Solana blockchain.
🧠 Rationale
If a sports fan wants exposure to the success of an athlete, their only option is to purchase collectibles/memorabilia (trading cards, signed jerseys, Top Shots, etc.). The drawback with all existing options today is there’s no fundamental value, they are only worth what someone else is willing to pay (Greater Fool Theory). Prospect has solved this by connecting the value of Athlete NFTs to the performance of the athlete via the PoP protocol. This enables sports fans to gain exposure to the fundamental value of an athlete, their performance.
